Happy Easter!

Hey y'all! Just wanted to drop by and wish all those celebrating a Happy Easter! :D I took this opportunity to camwhore in a cute somewhat Easter-themed outfit, but most of the pictures turned out crappy ; ^ ; So I just have a couple of photos to share today!

Not really Easter-themed, but I had the ears anyways :P So I figured, why not! But I did get that dress recently and I'm super in love with it :D It has a super cute cutout in the back too! Unfortunately you can't see it, but I might do a Spring GETS post soon and I'll show it off then!

Also, I'm going to try harder to take more pictures of my outfits daily, since I do wear some pretty cute stuff some times :3 So let's hope this works out!

And I finally cut the bangs into my silver Melty wig this weekend :3 I'm super happy with the results! I was super nervous as I didn't want to mess it up and then have to order another wig :| Now I just need to trim up my Gumi wig!

Anyways, I do have something else I want to blog about soon, but I've yet to take any pictures of it! So hopefully sometime this week!

Major Hair Change! :O

Hey guys! So I'm sorry I've been a terrible blogger lately :( As some of you may or may not know, I was participating in my schools production of Phantom of the Opera (which was an incredible success, as we completely sold out all 17 of our shows!), and then the week after we finished I spent everyday catching up on all of the school work I missed, which included 6 chemistry and biology classes =____=;;. But I'm coming to the end of my spring break now, and I'm quite well rested and ready to talk about a big change thats happened to me recently!

I am absolutely in love with it :D I think it was an awesome choice, although I may be regretting it in a month or so, but I honestly don't even care. I've had to deal with so many people staring, but I expected that and I'm kind of used to it already, haha. Only downside is that I can only wash my hair with cold water now :( BLAH.

I haven't really had anything important to blog about lately because I've been so busy, but hopefully things will pick up now that I'm less occupied! Cosplay posts will definitely become more frequent as I (finally) start working on my cosplays for Anime North! :D

Anyways, I've had a long day of road trippin' around, so I'm gonna hit the hay! Hopefully another post soon :3

Halloween!

Hey everyone! So as promised, I am going to share some of my Spirit Week/Halloween photos with you guys! I meant to put them up sooner, but you know how life is sometimes. A pain in the butt. Anyways, here are some of the photos!

Personal Panda: Recent (& upcoming!) Events!

Hey everybody! So, I know I've been like, the slowest blogger ever recently, but hopefully everything will be going up from here!

The next couple of weeks I am VERY excited for, and for two reasons. Reason number one is that the upcoming week is SPIRIT WEEK at my school! Most schools will have a Spirit Day, but my school likes to go a little bit further than that and have full weeks of school spirit! And since this years first Spirit Week is leading up to Halloween day, this years themes are mostly Halloween themed! And I definitely plan on posting pictures of all my outfits for the next week!

The themes this year are: Black & Orange Monday, Vampire Tuesday, Witch & Wizard Wednesday, Super Sweet Thursday, and Zombie Friday! And then the following Monday is Halloween, so it will end with everyone wearing Halloween costumes!

The second reason why I'm so excited is because the next weekend is Youmacon! I'm so stoked, because I've been dying to cosplay for the last month or so, and now I basically get two weeks of cosplay, haha! I checked the guest list today to, and I'm very excited to see some of the guest this year! I really want to go and see Lemon Demon/Potter Puppet Pals this year, as I always seem to miss them when I go to Youmacon!

While I'm on the topic of Youmacon, lets talk cosplay! Youmacon is in less than two weeks, and I haven't started my cosplay. Ha. Haha. Orz. However, I did get my Luka wig delivered to me today, and I tried it on immediately!

I look gross because I just got home from school ; ^ ;

The lighting in this photo is subpar, but you get the idea. The wig is soooo soft and silky, and the bangs only need to be trimmed a little bit! It also came with a really good wig cap, so I'm super psyched. When I have my hands on a better camera, I'll take some better pictures of the wig and what not!

And the last note I'm going to post here is: I got a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise the lord, I'm actually going to be able to afford cosplay now! I start training next week, and will be working by early November! I'm so excited about this. Please wish me luck xD

And now I have to go work on a few assignments and projects and what not =____=;;

Summer Hair Tutorial!

Daily Style: Semi-formal!

Hello everyone! I'm quite out of sorts today, for multiple reasons. Firstly, it started snowing again after like, 4 days of no more snow!! And secondly, last night was my semi-formal, of which I am very fond! It's basically like a junior prom thing, for those of you who don't know.

They theme this year was Candyland, But I don't know how well I pulled off the theme?

Since the theme was Candyland, we kind of tried to match our dresses to candies. I said I would probably be candy hearts since the pattern on my dress is hearts, and Leah was candy canes or peppermints. Both dresses are mine, the one I'm wearing is from H&M (plus matching scarf) and the one Leah is wearing is from ModCloth.

Hey everyone! So as I said, I'm making another shopping post, because I love to share what I bought with everyone! I kept meaning to do this sooner, but I'm so lazy recently. Five days a week, I start my day with two and a half hours of dance straight, and it gets me real tired. Plus, the allergies are acting up, but I digress!

Every time I go to the mall these days, I find something new I want to buy! Speaking of which, I found the awesome leopard cardigan that Morimayu is wearing in this code picture:

Anyways, its from H&M, and I want it sooo much! I plan on buying it next time I'm there, possibly in two colours! Anyways, on to what I HAVE actually boughten the last couple of weeks!

Daily Style: Party! (and a hair question!)

Hey guys! First of all, it makes me really happy to see all the enthusiasm towards my giveaway, and if you haven't entered it yet, please do!

Secondly, I plan on showing a few more snaps from my recent trip to San Francisco and Monterey, and they will be up soon!

And now, a bit of daily style from me! I went out for sushi tonight at a place that opened up three days ago (in an Italian restaurant, no less). It's REALLY good. If you're a reader in Windsor, holler at me and you'll get my recommendation. The sushi there is FANTASTIC. Really. Anyways, my sister started working there today as the bartender, so we went to go party and heckle her. We're so nice.

Gets, Life and Art!

Hello everybody! I hope everyone's having a good time this Summer. It is insanely hot in Southern Ontario, and I can't wait for it to cool down a bit! But the heat has been good for me too. Since it was really hot today, I decided to go to the mall. And I'm very glad I did, because I got some really great cheap stuff! Also, I went shopping a week ago and never posted what I got then, so I shall show it now!

Busy Times + Hair Inspiration

Hey guys, how's everyone doing? So, I know I haven't really been posting as much as I would like to, but I honestly have been pretty busy in the last couple weeks. I know, I shouldn't be making excuses, but between fashion show practices and coming close to failing my Math class, I've been too busy to even check websites or anything. That's another thing.

I don't really have anything to blog about right now, and I don't really like to make too many filler posts, because they have no point! But both my social and educational schedules are getting more organized, so I'll most likely start posting a bit more soon.

Anyways, on another note, MY ROOTS ARE GROWING IN!!! They are past an inch long now, and it's starting to really bother me. So it's time again to get some hair colour inspiration!

These are a few of the colours/combinations that I've been thinking of:

Well, first off, who DOESN'T love Romihi? She's so cute and pretty. Anyways, I've been wanting to dye my hair pink for the longest time now, and I think this is a good way to do it without dyeing my whole head. Although, instead of doing a platinum blonde, I would probably do a milk tea brown or something like that.

The Ageha twins, Guri & Gura (or Chie & Chika), are absolutely adorable and their hair is just magnificent! LOOK AT THAT VOLUME! Anyways, I really like the two-tone style, and I think it would be a nice style for the Summer.

I don't know who this gal is exactly, but I LOVE her hair colour! I like the milk tea base with pinkish tones towards the ends of her hair. It's a really cool touch, and I think it would look really cool!

My last idea was to go in the opposite direction and aim more for Wei Son's dark burgundy-ish hair (from April PopTeen). I absolutely looooove the colour, and it's really edgy and cool!

Hey everyone! I decided to try and coordinate a gyaru outfit with jeans today, because I didn't have any of my skirts with me today, and I ended up sleeping until about 4:30 pm. Anyways, here goes!

Welcome

Hello! My name is Jillian, other wise known as the all knowing Panda. Just kidding. I used to blog over on a Japanese server (ameblo), but it SUCKS. Majorly. And I don't speak/read/write Japanese, so you know, not really working out for me. I liked the emoticons though.

Anywho, this is my new blog PANDA LOGIC. I look forward to filling it's cyber-pages with fashion advice, hair and make up tips and updates on my utterly boring and yet so very interesting life. I hope you enjoy it. And in honour of this lovely new niche, I shall christen this blog with a personal update. MY HAIR COLOUR!

As seen in the photo above, my hair colour was a very, very dark brown. And that's after EIGHT months! I've had blue hair, red hair, partially blonde hair, orange hair, brown hair, the works. I've been trying to salvage it from it's flat-iron hell state, and it's been a tough eight months. Not really, I just like to dye my hair. Anyways, I digress.

I am an avid follower of the Japanese "GAL" fashion, so it's always been a goal of mine to try out blonde hair.

Well.

I did.

Sort of.

My hair guy (Fouad) said my hair wasn't quite ready to go straight to a blonde colour as of now, so he told me to start off with a lighter brown and blonde highlights. So that's what I did! And I am ever so pleased with it. He always does a great job on my hair, and it always smells fantabulous afterwards. For readers in Windsor, I would definitely check out Shaara Hair (3873 Dougall Ave. [519 - 966 - 5910]). They are awesome.

Anyways, back to me.

Sorry for moderately crap quality photos, but thats what I get for trying to take pictures at 8 p.m. Anywho, I'm working my way to a full-on blonde look, hopefully in a few months I'll be able to step it up a few notches. I've joined the Light Side.

This brings me to an issue commonly discussed in Western Gal communities/forums. The issue of gal hair colour. What IS a gal hair colour? When asked, many would answer blonde. But that isn't so. Of course, it is one of the most COMMON shades of hair, but it is not necessarily the only hair colour. To be specific, Romihi (Hiromi Hosoi of egg magazine) has had many different hair colours, most recently pink! It's becoming more common for gals to have more reddish hues and darker browns.

I personally like the blonde look, but I could still pull off the gal look with my previously extremely dark hair!

It's all about the charisma, the clothes, the make up and the hairstyle! You don't have to be tan, you don't have to be blonde. You just have to be wild and get sexy! My favourite gal motto!

Another gal hair misconception: long hair/big hair is a MUST. NOT SO! Many gals now (not necessarily in mags) have bobs, or wear straight, FLAT hair styles! So you don't have to have expensive extensions down to your waist, and you don't have to spend hours teasing and fluffing your hair. Although many people do prefer the puffy/long hairstyles, I'm just saying it is never a MUST.

In my opinion, fashions shouldn't have such extreme rules. The rules are what usually brings the fashion community (at least in Western communities) down. I'm not saying it will completely crash and burn, oh no, it will certainly thrive. But for the wrong reasons. For example, the lolita fashion communities on LJ. I ABSOLUTELY love lolitas and what they stand for, but there is so much wank and hate. It just ruins the fun of it for lots of people. Although, reading loli_secrets can be really fun and entertaining. But I just don't like that so much hating goes on in these fashion communities. It's the age old question:

WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?
