Gets, Life and Art!

Hello everybody! I hope everyone's having a good time this Summer. It is insanely hot in Southern Ontario, and I can't wait for it to cool down a bit! But the heat has been good for me too. Since it was really hot today, I decided to go to the mall. And I'm very glad I did, because I got some really great cheap stuff! Also, I went shopping a week ago and never posted what I got then, so I shall show it now!

This I bought a week ago at Forever 21! I have been on the hunt for a maxi dress since ever, and this one is really perfect. It's made of a really light, silky material which is great for trying to keep cool. And the colour is really gorgeous in person. It ties in the back so that I still get some sort of a shape in it, and the deep V neckline is daring but not too revealing. Much love ♥

This my sister got for me when she was in Toronto over the weekend. It's a great little Summer dress, just needs a big brown belt to go with it. I love the denim top and the eyelet trim. It's realllly cute, but kind of short. Oh well. Aha.

I bought this tank top from Urban Behaviour today, because I felt it could work into my Mode look very well. I love the colour, and the bold floral print in combination with the lace back really makes it for me.  It looks really good with my next item!

I had to take this picture with flash so the details would show up, but this is my bandage skirt from Urban Behaviour! I really like this skirt because it goes with EVERYTHING. I can't wait to start wearing it out and about.

These are some smaller items that I got recently, the tank top from Garage as well as the swim suit and the shorts are from Guess. Just some Summer basics to get me ready for traveling and such.

Got this pretty locket necklace from Forever 21. It's really pretty and a nice weight. My friends keep joking that they are going to put pictures of their faces inside. I don't really want that...

And last but not least, probably my favourite get of the day:

MY NEW M.A.C EYESHADOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in MAD LOVE with this eyeshadow. Ever since I saw Mitsu's Mode eye makeup tutorial in this post, I've been trying to find a nice coral shade. I finally went to my local M.A.C counter to check out Paradisco, but then I remembered that they had their Summer collection out and they had a coral-y shade in that line!

This eyeshadow is called Firecracker, and I am extremely in love with it. I love the case, I love the colour, I love the little shell on the outside. It's so perfect! 

But now I really can't spend any money. I'm going to San Francisco in 20 days! I AM MAD EXCITED!

Looking back on this outfit, I realize my makeup that day was very simple. I was only wearing a light eyeshadow with little eyeliner and a half set of eyelashes.

Anyways, for the last bit of the post, I want to show you something different. Not many of you know this but I am a wannabe artist, and today I want to show you two of my recent paintings. I did both of these a few weeks ago. Each painting took approximately four to five hours. Also, I don't normally paint. Paint is not my medium of choice. These are my second and third paintings of my life time. I am pretty proud of them though. The detail don't show up as well in the photographs, but bear with me.
