Okay, so here's part two of my Summertime Gal special! This post is going to focus on more casual Summer wear. Things that are really easy, light and comfortable, but still trendy and look Gal. I'm going to try and bring as many different styles in on this post as I can, so bear with me if this post seems a little all over the place.

So, everybody knows that in the Summer time, the weather gets hot. That fact is obvious. And most people, gal or not, love to cool down by the beach or the pool, and that's definitely not one of the best places to be wearing your finer Gal clothing.
That's why this post is going to focus on easier things to coordinate and pull together on a hot day. The best thing about Gal style is that there are so many different varieties of clothing that you can wear, and there are almost no limitations. So anyways, lets get started!
Last post I talked about swim wear for us lovely Gals. Now I'm going to add in things like cover ups and different shoes that go with this seasons trends and still look Gal.
First off is going to be one pieces. This includes dresses, rompers and play suits! All these things are great for Summer, because they can easily be thrown on and accessorized. They are probably my favourite thing to wear in the Summer.
So let's start with dresses; here are a few of my favourites from various Gal brands:
I myself am starting to prefer more Ethnic/Bohemian styles, but I still have a soft spot for bright colours and bold patterns. I love the Bless Tokyo pieces because of their versatility, and they look really cute even so plainly accessorized. The Liz Lisa maxi dress I like because, well, it's pink. And it also uses a bit of a tie dye effect, as well as crochet on the top and lace all the way down. I absolutely LOVE the colour of the Cecil McBee dress, and the little feather dangles on the front. I love the print and colour of the Me Jane maxi dress, and the Spiral Girl dress just had me at Hello.
Anyways, these dresses are all good for acting as a beach cover up, or as casual wear for going out in the day with your Gals! But you could also use these as transitional dresses, that can go from day to night easily, especially the Me Jane one.
Some great dress options are the MAXI dress and the MINI dress. Two extremes that are so good for summer! The Maxi dress is great because in a light material, it can easily transition from day to night. And the Mini dress is nice because it's easy to throw on over a bathing suit or something to help you keep cool and covered up.
Here's some great dresses to look at:

I like Summer dresses to be really playful and light, and made of soft, comfortable materials. Summer time is a time to be comfortable, and having simple dresses is a great way to be comfortable.
Next off, a new favourite trend of mine: the romper/playsuit!
Rompers and playsuits are great for the Summer for the same reasons as dresses; they are easy to throw on and easy to coordinate, since you don't have to match up tops and bottoms. They are also really comfortable and can be dressed up or down. Here are a few of my favourites from 109.

(Gilfy)
And note that the Gilfy romper above looks like two pieces! Rompers and playsuits don't ALWAYS have to look like on block of colour or print. You can often times find two-piece looking rompers in stores.
The agent GOLD81 romper has a bit of a saruel pant bottom (VERY MODE!), and it comes in a very chic and versatile colour. The nude beige is very simple and light, and could easily have a bright chunky necklace added to it. The longer Gilfy playsuit I really like for it's bright pattern and colour, and it would be really nice for a more "going-out" romper. The MiiA romper is very casual, and some what marine! I love the look of it, and it comes with a scarf! And lastly, I love the Gilfy romper, because of it's lace top and zipper detail bottom.
Now for shoes. I'm going to pull out some of my favourite shoe styles for Summer time, for both beach and casual wear!
Flat sandals are always a good Summer fall back for shoes. But in order to keep it still looking Gal, look for stylish and embellished sandals that suit your look. (Glad News, Blue Moon Blue, Esperanza)
Fashion flat/gladiator style sandals are also very popular still. Find shoes with lots of detail on the foot and ankle, in neutral colours. (charmany, Esperanza, Dilga)
Espadrilles are a more Summer shoe than a regular heel or wedge because of the woven heel. They are also always available in pretty bright colours! (Esperanza, Pool Side, Esperanza)
Anyways, thanks as always for reading! I'll be back after exams with my last post in this series!
