Daily Style: Mode Gyaru

Hey guys! Sorry I'm being really slow with my Summertime posts, but I'll get right on it as soon as my exams are over! They are next week so I really need to study if I want to take Physics next year =___=;;. Anyways, today I tried Mode gyaru (sort of).

I wore some black satin-y shorts with a fuchsia tank top and a navy blue lace cropped tee over it, to try and create an interesting shape. However, I forgot to take pictures in it, but I DID manage to get some photos of my hair and make up today.

I did my Mode style make up (model off of Momoka Ogihara's make up/Mitsu's Mode tutorial), and I wore my hair in a long "bob" (not really), with a side scarf bow in my hair. I think it turned out pretty nicely, but that's for you to judge. Anyways, pictures!

Daily Style: Ethnic(?)

Hey guys! So, two days ago I made my post about my recent shopping excursion. And as promised, today I'm going to show it all coordinated! It's a really simple look, and I was trying (key word trying) to go for a more Ethnic/Bohemian style.

I wasn't wearing my falsies, so don't mind that. Anyways, photos! (Click the picture to read more!)

Shopping Gets!

Evening everyone! My day is slowly coming to an end, and I just felt like sharing with you my lovely, lovely readers, my new purchases from my shopping excursion today!

First off, my new Nine West "sabo" style sandals! And let it be known throughout the land, from sea to sea, that this is my very first pair of BROWN shoes! Not a word of lie to you folks, my very first pair of completely brown shoes. And I totally love them! I was kind of iffy about the original "sabo" style of shoes (or clogs, as they are more commonly known), but I really love the studded detail that are generally on "sabo". Plus clogs make my feet sweaty. Which is never pleasant. So sandals = awesome.

I got this gold braided headband at Forever 21 (I shop there A LOT), and I really like it for Spring/Summer because of two things. 1) The gold/braid reminds me of marine, mostly of gold trim on various Marine-themed items (hats, bags, etc). 2) braided headbands (made with hair) are really popular right now, but I still can't figure that out, so I'm going to use this to make up for it!

Lastly, I bought this Paisley & Floral print dress (also from F21). I was originally on the hunt for a maxi dress, but then I saw this and I wanted it immediately. The hem has a bit of eyelet lace, which is a really cute touch, and I actually didn't notice it until I got home. But this dress is really light and comfortable, and I'm glad I got it.

Anyways, tomorrow I'll (probably) make a post of all these items coordinated together + my go-to quick and easy Summer hairstyle. Now if only I had a can-can hat :\

Summertime Gal: Part One

Hey everybody! So, not too long ago, I downloaded the June issue of JELLY (their fourth anniversary issue!). In it, they had two spreads that I have been looking forward to forever: swim wear and casual/beach wear. I've been looking forward to these spreads because since Summer is soon going to be upon us, many of us will be hitting up the beach and other places where you don't want to dress in your Gal finery.

So I decided to do some posts on the three aspects I find important for this: swim wear, beach wear and hair & accessories!
